Company History: A Family Affair

Academie was founded in 1926 by pharmacist Georges Gay. In 1928, he creates the Academie Beauty Salon in the heart of Paris, which was the only training school for beauticians at the time. A diploma from the Academie Beauty Salon was one of the most valued by the television and cinema studios at that time. This French independently owned family company has continuously been developing, producing and commercializing high quality products for over 80 years. Academie is a dynamic company currently run by the founder’s granddaughter. Academie's products are distributed to beauty salons and spas exclusively and can be found in about 800 beauty centres in France and in 62 countries.
